        -The story happened inside a hospital in Chechnya. It happened during a war. 

2. WHAT SEEMS TO BE THE CONFLICT SURROUNDING THE STORY?

        -The conflict around Chechnya.

3. WHAT WAS THE DEAL MADE BY SONJA AND AKHMED?

        -They made a deal that' Sonja will accept his daughter if he will work in the hospital.

4. WHAT CHANGE IN ATTITUDE WAS EVIDENT IN THE MAIN CHARACTER OF THE STORY AT THE BEGINNING AND AT THE END?

        -The loss of her sister, Natasha, had a really big impact on her which affects her life including her job.

5. WHY WAS IT IMPORTANT FOR THE WRITER TO NARRATE THE EVENTS THAT HAPPENED DURING THE WARS TO REVEAL TRADITIONS IN CHECHNIYA?

        -It is important so that the readers will be able to know/be aware of what hardships they encountered/experience during the war which eventually changed some parts of their lives.
